We at Good Times Jazz Bar & Restaurant are celebrating the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History’s Jazz Appreciation Month during the month of April.
From the Smithsonian JAM website: This year, JAM celebrates the relationship between jazz and justice by looking beyond the music to the dynamic ways jazz has played a transformative role in social justice, musician’s rights, and equality since its birth in America. To better tell this story, for the first time JAM will not feature a musician but instead hightlight “one of the most influential nonmusicians in jazz history,” producer Norman Granz, and his work as an innovative producer, tireless promoter for his musicians, and uncompromising advocate for civil rights.
To help with the celebration the Smithsonian is giving away the 2018 JAM poster to anyone who registers. You can register for a free poster by clicking here. There is one poster per person and all fulfillment is handled by Smithsonian Jazz, not Good Times Jazz Bar & Restaurant. Neither Smithsonian Jazz nor Good Times Jazz Bar & Restaurant are responsible for lost or returned shipments.
